Every year MSF sends around 2,500 international field workers to work alongside 25,000 locally hired staff in countries around the world to provide emergency medical assistance to people whose survival is threatened by armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care or natural disasters.
MSF-Hong Kong recruits field workers from:
Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, The Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam
Due to changes in operational needs and corresponding vacancies in the field, MSF-HK is suspending the recruitment of Nurse until further notice. However, exceptions will be considered for applicants with specific language skills besides English (French, at level B1 or above). The recruitment of all other positions remains unchanged.
MSF is intensifying various activities in the field, especially in conflict settings, and launching more programs focusing on mother-child and reproductive healthcare. The need for medical doctor, epidemiologist, psychologist, obstetrician/ gynaecologist, orthopedic surgeon and anesthesiologist has increased tremendously, and we very much welcome applicants from these profiles, regardless whether you are English speakers or French speakers.

Recruitment and assessment sessions

MSF-Hong Kong organises recruitment and assessment sessions periodically in greater China and many Southeast Asian countries such as Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia. During the session, recently returned field workers give a presentation about their mission and share their experiences in the field with potential field workers. Information sessions are often combined with recruitment sessions.
If you meet the requirements for the field position(s) and are interested in being one of the field workers, we welcome you to join the information sessions. The sessions will give you better understanding of work in the field and help you prepare for your future mission. If your background and experience does not match with the available field positions, you might want to consider working as an office volunteer.
