Requirements
  • Valid degree and current license

Epidemiologist

 
Requirements
  • Degree or masters in epidemiology or MPH with epidemiological focus
  • Proven practical skills in design, implementation, and evaluation of surveys, and in quantitative/qualitative research methods
  • Knowledge and ability necessary to launch surveillances systems, training, contingency planning for campaigns and other epidemic and nutritional interventions
  • Experience with relevant software packages
  • Travel or work experience outside the home country (ideally in developing countries)

Desirable
  • Familiarity with tropical and infectious diseases

 

Laboratory Scientist/ Technician

 
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in laboratory technology or degree in microbiology with applied medical parasitology and bacteriology
  • Experience with sample-taking (blood, stool, sputum)
  • Knowledge of laboratory testing quality-control methods
  • Knowledge of epidemiology and tropical disease
  • Managerial, training and supervisory experience

Medical Doctor

 
Requirements
  • MD with minimum 2 years of professional experience after registration
  • Current or recent clinical experience
  • Training in tropical medicine and/or infectious disease

Desirable
  • Experience in emergency room/ paediatric care

 

Midwife

 
Requirements
  • Valid degree and/or certificate for midwifery and current license
  • Minimum of 2 years autonomous clinical experience
  • Extensive experience in managing prenatal check up, normal delivery (including the use of partograph), and post natal check up
  • Knowledge on complicated pregnancy and delivery
  • Experience with family planning; mother-child health
  • Knowledge of STDs and HIV/AIDS
  • Experience in supervising, training and managing others

Mental Health Specialist/ Psychologist

 
Requirements
  • Masters in Clinical Psychology and experience in one of the following areas: clinical psychology, psychotherapy, psychiatry
  • 2 years clinical experience after completing masters
  • Registered in a recognized professional body
  • Experience in either post-traumatic stress disorder or trauma and related areas
  • Travel or work experience outside the home country (ideally in developing countries)

  • Experience in community-based mental health programmes

 

Obstetrician-Gynaecologist

 
Requirements
  • Certified Obstetrician/Gynaecologist
  • Current or recent practical experience
  • Ultrasound knowledge
  • Able to work together with midwife
  • Experience in supervising, managing and training of others
  • Ability to train and coach other health workers
  • Willingness to work in unstable environments
