Field Human Resources Officer (Psychosocial Focal Point & HR Development)
The MSF Hong Kong Field HR team finds its mandate in attracting potential field workers from the different societies in Southeast Asia and Greater China and facilitates them to join MSF for overseas missions while guiding them through their MSF career.
The Field HR team carries out various activities which include labour market analysis, attraction, recruitment & selection, mission placements, training and development, career management and regional peer networking in the region.
This position reports directly to the Field Human Resources Manager.
The major responsibilities are:
  • Acting as an MSFHK Psychosocial Focal Point (PFP) for field missions
  • Supporting the development and implementation of our employer branding strategy
  • Facilitating learning and development opportunities in the region for our expatriate field workers to grow and progress their careers within the movement.
  • Developing and implementing initiatives to closely engage our expatriate field workers with proactive communications and follow-up.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Psychology
  • Good knowledge of the different therapeutic schools
  • Real interest in humanitarian works.
  • Minimum 3-5 years post graduate experience in counselling and/or direct clinical services.
  • Must inspire confidence from the outset as his/her intervention will most often be confined to a single session.
  • MSF / humanitarian experience is highly preferable.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Good command of an Asian language (e.g. Mandarin, Bahasa, Tagalog) is an added advantage to liaise with multilingual associates.
