Life is hard in South Sudan. Hot climate, no rain for a large part of the year makes agriculture difficult. Lack of clean water and proper sanitation makes poor health condition. Lack of education makes slow progress in the community. Mud, dust, flies are the most common encounters here, so much so, the children always look dirty and don't bother to chase away the flies on their faces or bodies.

Local people told me that in the outer most part of the town are all those cattle camps and the condition there are even worse, not to mention the abundance of guns and knives for protection of their cows. But that is the commonest living environment here.

But in raining season which usually start in May, it will rain real hard and afterwards everywhere is muddy and that make road access difficult as the mud may be one feet deep in places which make even walking difficult. In the past 2 weeks, it already rain twice and It make our hospital and living compound muddy everywhere so I can't imagine the situation when it rain real hard for few days!
