4-21 | Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is supporting the Sudanese Ministry of Health (MoH) to respond to a measles outbreak in parts of Sudan. In North Darfur, a mass vaccination was launched at the end of March, 2015 to stem the outbreak and increase the immunisation coverage in the population. To date, MSF and the MoH teams have vaccinated over 77,690 people, and provided vitamin A to over 3,000, children under the age of five in Jebel Amir, El Sireaf town, Gharra, Medises, Um Jarwa, and Jabkalla in El Sireaf locality.
2-5 | Thousands of people fleeing violence in the contested border area between Sudan and South Sudan are in desperate need of food, water and medical care. MSF has launched an emergency intervention to assist them as they arrive, mostly empty-handed, in Northern Bahr el Ghazal state in South Sudan, where the humanitarian situation is already dire. According to local authorities, 1,542 households have arrived in Aweil North County in Northern Bahr el Ghazal state since October last year.

12-7 | What is the situation at the moment?Typhoon Hagupit made landfall at approximately 9.15pm yesterday evening in the city of Dolores in eastern Samar. Dolores is a big city but it is not as dense as Tacloban, which as we saw last year was devastated when typhoon Haiyan hit. So far we don't have much information, and exactly what is going on in Samar is unclear as power and communication were cut across most of the island.
