South Sudan: Severe floods and lacklustre humanitarian response leave people dangerously exposed in Bentiu
11-24 | People in Bentiu in northern South Sudan are facing outbreaks to infectious and waterborne diseases, increased food insecurity and malnutrition, due to some of the most severe floods in decades. A failure from humanitarian organisations and authorities to scale up quickly enough in response has left at least 152,000 displaced people in horrific living conditions.

7-16 | In the South African provinces of Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), social unrest, including widespread looting, has led to the disruption of crucial healthcare services and access to food and other essentials. To date, 72 people are reported killed in the violence with hundreds more sustaining injuries, including lacerations, gunshot and burn wounds.
